The Las Vegas Numismatic Society<\/a>:<\/h1>\n

The Las Vegas Numismatic Society meets at Arizona Charlie’s, 740 S. Decatur Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89107, in the Diamond Mae Ballroom on the 2nd floor. The doors open at 1:00 pm and the meeting starts 2:00 pm. Come spend an afternoon with other coin collectors and enthusiasts! Learn, chat and enjoy! As the meeting gets closer check back to see what the meeting will focus on!<\/span><\/p>\n

What exactly is the Las Vegas Numismatic Society?<\/h2>\n

First established in 1957, The Las Vegas Numismatic Society (LVNS) is the local coin club.\u00a0 Since its beginning, the LVNS has been an organization of coin collector and enthusiasts that gather monthly to enjoy coins.\u00a0 This comes in the form of educational lectures, auctions, numismatic related trivia, and many other events!<\/p>\n

Who is welcome at the meetings?<\/h3>\n

In short, anyone who has an interest in coins.\u00a0 The numismatic community is a fairly friendly one.\u00a0 If you are looking to learn its a great starting place.\u00a0 The meetings generally attract 70-90 members and around 10-15 guests a month.\u00a0 Membership is not necessary to attend a regular meeting.\u00a0 However, membership is required for some the other benefits of the club which include bus trips, a holiday banquet and panic.\u00a0 Adult membership is $25 and junior memberships are $5.<\/p>\n

Junior memberships?<\/h3>\n

Junior memberships are for those under 18 years of age.\u00a0 There are numerous extra benefits for these members.\u00a0 There are attendance rewards to encourage coming to meetings in the first year.<\/p>\n

Frist meeting:\u00a0 Free gift bag<\/p>\n

Second meeting: Free Redbook, this book contains a wealth of information any starting numismatist will find intriguing.<\/p>\n

Third meeting: A proof or mint set<\/p>\n

Sixth meeting: Silver bar or round<\/p>\n

1yr Anniversary\/ 12th meeting:\u00a0 A silver dollar<\/p>\n

We sure hope so, honestly its probably the best $25 to spend in Las Vegas for anyone with an interest in coins!<\/p>\n
